Annual Weiss-Johnson Golf Classic

At Weiss-Johnson, giving back to our community is part of who we are and our Annual Golf Classic is a proud reflection of that commitment. Over the years, we’ve supported a wide range of local charities, including the Edmonton Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, MS Society, Winnifred Stewart, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, Breast Friends Edmonton and the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society (EDSS).

Our Connection With The EDSS Holds A Very Personal Place In Our Hearts

In 2009, Mark and Kira Johnson welcomed their son Colin, who was born with Down Syndrome. Since then, Mark has been actively involved with the organization, serving on its board and steering committee. His dedication inspired the launch of our annual charity golf event — now a meaningful tradition.

For the past eight years, the Weiss-Johnson Golf Classic has been held at The Ranch Golf and Country Club. Through the generous support of our suppliers, industry partners and builder network, we’ve proudly raised nearly $275,000 for the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society. These funds directly support speech and language therapy, as well as vital life skills programs that help individuals with Down Syndrome lead more integrated, fulfilling lives in our community.

It’s more than just a tournament: it’s a day where purpose and partnership come together for a great cause.
