We are looking for a Fleet Mechanic to join our team and develop skills while building a long-term career with an industry leader! is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company-owned vehicles including transit vans, cube vans, and light-duty trucks used by our HVAC and plumbing technicians. This role ensures minimal vehicle downtime, contributing to the overall efficiency of our field operations.

Compensation: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per annum, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles (brake jobs, oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, etc.)
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform repairs as needed
  • Maintain records of all maintenance and repairs using fleet management software or manual logs
  • Schedule and prioritize vehicle service to minimize downtime and service disruptions
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and provincial regulations
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for warranty work or specialized repairs
  • Source and order parts as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor inventory levels of tools, fluids, and common parts
  • Provide emergency roadside assistance if required
  • Collaborate with dispatch and field teams to ensure vehicle readiness

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician certification required
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a fleet, dealership, or independent shop setting
    • Experience working with Fords preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; Class 3 an asset
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret vehicle manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic code
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools and fleet maintenance software
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
