Scope:
Join our dynamic team at Weiss-Johnson Group of Companies, a leader in the Commercial and Residential Mechanical industry we are dedicated to excellence in delivering high-quality results. We are looking for a Gasfitter join our Commercial team and grow under the leadership of our current forepersons and management. You’ll be responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of gas lines, appliances, and systems across a range of job sites.
This role is ideal for a Journeyperson Gasfitter, but we welcome applications from experienced apprentices or partially certified candidates who are motivated to grow their skills and complete certification.

Salary: $38+ per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair natural gas and propane lines, fittings, and appliances
- Test systems for leaks and verify safe operation
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gas appliances and systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, team leads, and other trades
- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate service records
- Follow all safety protocols and provincial gas codes
- Collaborate with clients, supervisors, and other trades on-site
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyperson Gasfitter Certification (Class A or B) preferred
- 2+ years of experience in gas installation or service
- Strong working knowledge of gas codes and workplace safety standards
- Valid driver’s licence with clean driving abstract
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaboratively with the team
- Own basic hand tools
- Must have a clean 5 year driving record
