Scope:
Join our dynamic team at Weiss-Johnson Group of Companies, a leader in the Commercial and Residential Mechanical industry we are dedicated to excellence in delivering high-quality results. We are currently looking to add a Residential Plumbing Manager to join our team and lead our Residential Plumbing division. Reporting directly to the COO, this key leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, performance, and growth of the division.

$130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Own the performance and profitability of the residential plumbing division.
- Set division goals in alignment with company objectives and track KPIs for success.
- Lead strategic planning for team structure, growth, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with the COO and executive team on forecasting, planning, and execution.
Team & Project Oversight
- Lead and manage a team of licensed plumbers, apprentices, and support staff.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on quality, accountability, and safety.
Financial Accountability
- Manage division budgets, job costing, labor forecasts, and profitability tracking.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, increase margins, and improve workflows.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Represent the plumbing division in client meetings, site walkthroughs, and project updates.
- Work closely with builders, site supervisors, and internal project managers.
- Ensure all plumbing work meets or exceeds code and company quality standards.
- Implement and uphold all health and safety policies across sites.
- Consult with field supervisors to conduct field inspections and resolve escalated technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Plumber Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- 7+ years of hands-on plumbing experience, with 3-5 years in a senior leadership role or divisional management role
- Strong knowledge of Alberta plumbing code, residential construction practices, and project management
- Proven experience managing multi-site teams and $5M+ in annual division revenue
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in job costing, budgeting, and construction management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
