Donald Johnson

Founder of Weiss-Johnson

Donald Johnson co-founded Weiss-Johnson with Bob Weiss in 1977. A certified sheet metal worker since 1973, Don became an expert in designing and installing heating systems for new homes. He still enjoys being in the field, personally measuring and designing ductwork.

Outside of work, Don loves the outdoors: camping, snowmobiling and quadding with family and friends. He’s also been an active 5-pin bowler for over 40 years. Don and his wife Britta have three children, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Dennis Johnson

Owner/Director

Dennis joined Weiss-Johnson in 1989 and earned his sheet metal certification in 1998. In 2008, he and his brother Mark took over the company from their parents, continuing the family legacy as co-owners.
Committed to the growth of the trade, Dennis has served on the marketing committee of the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Board and held roles in several industry and community organizations. He and his wife, Cari, have four children and are proud grandparents to five.

Mark Johnson

Owner/Director

Mark graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2001 with a degree in Environmental Sciences. He joined Weiss-Johnson full-time in 2008, when he and his brother Dennis took over ownership from their parents.

Mark played a key role in designing and planning the company’s current operations facility on Roper Road in Edmonton. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society and is actively involved in various charitable initiatives. Mark and his wife, Kira, have four children.

Scott McConaghy

CEO/President

Scott McConaghy is the CEO and President of Weiss-Johnson Group of Companies, bringing over 31 years of leadership experience in construction, development, and executive management. He is known for driving business growth, mentoring high-performing teams, and successfully leading complex projects across Western Canada.

Scott’s focus on innovation, operational restructuring, and strategic leadership continues to position Weiss-Johnson as an industry leader.

Born and raised in Edmonton, he has built strong family and community roots. Married for 30 years, he is the proud father of four adult children and a grandparent to one. Outside of his professional commitments, he values time outdoors and remains an avid supporter of the Edmonton Oilers.

Jesse Flexhaug

Chief Operating Officer

Jesse Flexhaug has worked with Weiss-Johnson for over 20 years, building experience in the HVAC and sheet metal industry. He is currently serving as president of SMACNA Alberta, supporting the industry and its members across the province.
He is active in his religious community and values opportunities to serve and connect with others. Jesse enjoys time with his wife and four children, especially boating, hunting, and spending time outdoors together.

Brian Schroeder

SR. Project Manager

Brian Schroeder began his career in the HVAC trade in 1990. In 2005, Brian transitioned to an office role at Weiss-Johnson. Fast forward 20 years and Brian’s role has expanded to overseeing the commercial plumbing and HVAC division.
Brian’s commitment to people extends outside of work, He and his wife, Rebecca have two adult children. Together, they enjoy spending time at the lake, watching new shows, cheering on the Oilers, or searching for the best new taco restaurant in and around Edmonton.

Teseo Berardi

Residential HVAC Service Manager

Teseo Berardi is a seasoned HVAC professional whose career began in 1989. He earned his Journeyman Gasfitter certification in 1995, establishing a strong foundation of technical expertise and safety that has guided his work for decades.

Over the past 30 years, Teseo has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning, staying at the forefront of technological advancements in heating and cooling systems. His experience reflects a unique ability to integrate innovative solutions with proven mechanical principles.

Outside of his professional career, Teseo enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing hands-on, creative hobbies. His interests range from the precise craft of 3D printing and culinary experimentation to inventive “mad science” projects that showcase his curiosity and problem-solving spirit.

Marcus Krampitz

HVAC Retro/Renovations Manager

Marcus Krampitz brings more than 27 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with expertise spanning installations, sales, and management. For the past 13 years, he has been an integral part of Weiss-Johnson Sheet Metal, spending the last 8 years in leadership roles where he has guided teams and delivered practical, results-driven solutions for clients.

His career also includes work with several respected HVAC companies in Edmonton, as well as a 9-year period earning a machining ticket, which broadened his technical background and skill set.

Raised in Sherwood Park, Marcus has strong roots in the Edmonton music and art’s community. Outside of his professional role, he enjoys an active lifestyle that includes skiing, soccer, and fitness. He and his wife of 19 years share a family of three children and one grandchild.
